In 2023, we were visited by Clive Jardine and his wife Liz. Clive mentioned that his Grandparents Vic and Lilly Knight had lived in the cottage that is now our Café almost 100 years ago and they ran the shop next door for over 30 years. His mother was born in Longborough and grew up here before the war. In 1959, he and his brother lived for a short while in the old cottage with his parents and younger brother.
Clive sent us some photos of his family outside the shop and cottage taken in the 1930’s and 1950’s. Its lovely to see how the shop has survived all these years and is still here for future generations.
